Program Mission Statement: (self-reported)
To provide a safe place for preteen and young teen girls to live which will help them to recover from the effects of gang and substance involvement, family abuse, abandonement, etc. L.A.M.P. becomes the family in which they can experience safety, protection, discipline, and learn the ways of relating to themselves and others that most children learn at home. The children who come to the Residential Care program are the most hurt and "hopeless" of the children referred to L.A.M.P. Often to help the child we must also help their family if the family can become willing.
