Change Process: (self-reported)
Barnabas Ministries desires for the youth to encounter Christ in a genuine way through the lives of committed Christian staff and volunteers. We desire to see the lives of the youth change in their decision making processes and their knowledge of their value to God and to ultimately to desire relationship with God. The main mechanism of change is relationship with people. A secondary mechanism is learning a new skill or experiencing something outside of their norm so as for the youth to learn about life in an incubator-type setting. We seen youth accept Christ, find talents they didn't even know they had, exhibit leadership skill in a positive environment, stay completely out of trouble for the duration of the program, recognize their need for God, become members of local churches after their pen pal relationship and much more.
