Program Mission Statement: (self-reported)

The Compass Academy was designed to help men and women who were either homeless or in recovery get a second chance in their educational life. The program helps build basic knowledge skills in the areas of reading, writing, math, computer literacy, memory and vocabulary. Each of the clients are able to meet their educational needs from literacy to GED preparation. If there was one word to describe the Compass Academy the word would be “transformation.” Since God is the director of our lives, we continue to let him lead lives in the right direction. Once the students graduate from the learning center they enter the career services department. Career Enhancement provides practical tools to help develop career education principals and practices. Our goals are to serve God with all our heart and help individuals establish a stable career upon completion of our program.
