Change Process: (self-reported)

The students entering our program have lived lives of dysfunctional and irresponsible behavior. The most important aspect of our program is the ability to address their spiritual needs. Opportunities to introduce students to Jesus Christ and/or encourage their life of faith are a ministry blessing.

While our students improve educationally, there is also evident enhancement in their self-confidence. Essential soft skills such as time management, problem solving, and decision making are addressed as well.

Through participation in this program specifically developed for use with the homeless and disadvantaged, the following areas are targeted for improvement: educational and memory gaps are assessed, individualized learning programs are developed, students are equipped to achieve their individual learning goals, and students learn to function in a job-like environment while studying.

Students completing their educational objectives discover how to prepare resumes, conduct job searches, learn how to dress and interview, and obtain and maintain long term employment.

The educational goal is for each student to achieve the individual performance goals established during the initial diagnostic interview with the student. The employment goal is for each student completing the program to obtain full-time employment, having identified a viable career development path that is realistic for his or her interests and abilities.
