Change Process: (self-reported)

The women come in not understanding how they can live without the use of drugs. They don't understand how God can love them. We teach them about rules. We teach them how to be honest. We show them that they will have consequences for their actions but that we are there for them. We show them unconditional love the way Jesus showed us. We teach them the difference between a need and a want. We work with them on being honest, open-minded and willing. We teach them that they cannot control what other people do or say but only control how they react to it or the situation or person. We take them through a Faith based 12-step program. We work with the family members including the children. We show the women that they can be the wives, mothers, daughters, granddaughters and friends that Jesus intended us to be. We show them that they are worthy of God's love. We don't take this disease or this program lightly and we don't let the residents take it lightly either.
