Program Mission Statement: (self-reported)

The Panama City Rescue Mission's workforce training program that recycles and resells unused household appliances that would otherwise be filling up landfills. Homeless program participants undergo valuable work training by refurbishing donated household appliances. These homeless provide a needed service to the surrounding needy community, sale of affordable washers, dryers and cooking ranges. The program in turn, strengthens program participants’ self-esteem and builds new job skills. The sales of the refurbished appliances generate self-sustaining funds for the Mission’s homeless work training program.
