Homeless program participants collect appliances donated by local retail stores and individuals. Parts are purchased and homeless trainees repair the appliances. The appliances are then marketed and re-sold in the Mission's thrift stores.

One full-time staff and a late-phase student in the Mission’s homeless recovery program oversee the program, teaching two or three newer program participants at a time.

Supervisors fill out a weekly appraisal for each student and turns them in to case managers. At weekly staff meetings, it is determined whether student is ready to advance to next phases of recovery program.
