Change Process: (self-reported)

Trained women volunteers across the state go into local prisons or jails weekly to conduct large group services or small studies on individual housing units in prisons and jails across California. We hold an annual 2 Day intensive personal growth seminar called "Journey Into Excellence" in response to chaplain requests for a faith based program that deals with the hard issues inmates face (guilt, shame, anger, forgiveness) and cause them to fail to live successfully on the outside. Providing this seminar for all women's prisons in California is our main financial cost. All involved in our ministry do so on a volunteer basis. The effects of this in-prison seminar have been outstanding. We also do "Journey" seminars for in women's transitional homes on the outside when requested.
