Change Process: (self-reported)
The Center gets intimately involved with the child, their parent, and school system to provide a holistic approach to developing positive community-based support systems for our youth. Our approach includes spiritual development encouraged through our own show of consistency, commitment, and compassion. Program delivery includes: after-school programming, tutoring, summer programming, and enrichment activities all year round which include the parents. We also developed a separate "Youth Praise & Worship" Childrens Church which we operate on the weekends for the sole purpose of providing a community-based non-denominational childrens congregation ran by and for children in the community. It operates separate from this program and youth and their parents are invited every week. This is the overall process by which the program participants change and have continued to do so for the last 17 years.
