Outcomes & Measures: (self-reported)
Outcome 1
Safer school year for our youth;jobs and educational training for adults; activities for our Seniors
Measure
The feedback we get from the families and vendors during the Prayer Festival and the growing return number of families that come out and vendors (health screeners, banks, etc) that come back out.
Outcome 2
Thanksgiving Basket Program
Measure
The signature of the families that come and pick up their Turkey baskets
Outcome 3
Pantry Program-providing food, furniture, clothing, transportation assistance, resume writing, advocacy(housing/education), and referrals to other resources
Measure
Meeting the need. If a Mother needs beds for her children and we do not have them, we call around to other resources until we find them; occassionally we may have to financially assist with the purchase of beds maybe from a nice thrift store or a low discount place.
Outcome 4
Thanksgiving Dinner seved at the shelter
Measure
The number of turkeys and amount of food we cook and seve to the families at the shelter
Outcome 5
Christamas toy Program
Measure
Half of the families we have helped the past sevral Christmases; the other half are new families referred to us. We have a christmas party, where they come and pick up their bags but enjoy cookies, punch and pizza with xmas music playing and a santa clause to take pictures with each family.
Change Process: (self-reported)
We desire to be a hands up, not hands out ministry. Many are simply more hopeful and encoraged. Those that seek prayer and counseling feel better because they no someone cares, many choose to give their life to Christ and most no they have to make certain changes to get their life on track and be the best so they can give the best to their families.
