The Homeless Day Resource Center provides client advocacy, referrals and evaluation of people utilizing the feeding and sheltering services of the parent organization. Clients are encouraged to join the other "change programs" offered, but will also extend shelter due to circumstances, offer job referrals, education and training, addiction recovery, transitional housing, case management through participation with the Homeless and Hunger Coalition of Northwest Florida members.
Case managers track success and report on a community network of services provided, called Service Point. It shares this information with local agencies, providing a more thorough picture of what is being offered to each client.
The center gives clients a sense of dignity while seeking to rebuild their lives. Most agency services are provided at a central location and transportation is provided when needed. Children have a safe play area. Individuals have lockers where they can store personal belongings. Computers, phone and other literature are provided for job search. Reading and GED classes are offered on site.
