Change Process: (self-reported)
When clients walk through our doors, there is a definite basic need for resources required for survival. This includes food, clothing, furniture, housing referrals and emergency financial assistance. With this initial support, clients are encouraged to develop a plan to eventually become self-sufficient. This may include technology training, assistance with job searches and job training. Throughout this process, clients continue to receive basic support and emotional support. Many of our clients receive one on one case management and encouragement from our staff. Most of our clients, in approximately 1 year, have a much better quality of life. Individualized and personal service to our clients make the biggest difference. This provides the self esteem needed to make permanent changes in their lives. We then encourage them to make a difference in someone else's life. We truly believe that you can change the world one person at a time.
