Transformation begins within the prison, as each inmate is willing to look authentically at the lives they have led and the consequences of their actions/addictions upon themselves and their loved ones. The discipleship group forms as a community that embraces each member and points her focus toward Jesus and healing. It is then her choice to choose a new lifestyle. She can choose to re-learn life skills and live in a home where she is cared for by a community of support and guidance. Transformation is hard journey from facing the past, living in the present, and seeing what the future can hold. In essence, as they heal from years of self-destruction, family dysfunction, and poverty, they become new creations.
